About

Foundering follows the world’s “crappiest” tech startup, FertilizeMe, the leader in on-demand fertilizer fertilizer on-demand. Foundering was created by Benjamin Dorr and Bryan Keefer.

Foundering is the gerund or present participle of the word “founder,” a verb meaning:

1. (of a ship, boat, etc.) to fill with water and sink.
2. to fall or sink down, as buildings, ground, etc.
3. to become wrecked; fail utterly.
4. to stumble, break down, go lame, or suffer from laminitis, as a horse or other hooved animal.

For what it’s worth, “flounder” is a fish. Right now, no flounders work at FertilizeMe, but it’s an equal opportunity employer.

It’s also important to note that all characters appearing in this work are fictitious cartoon animals. Any resemblance of the fictitious cartoon animals to real persons, living or dead, employed or unemployed, is purely coincidental and likely impossible, since they are cartoon animals.
